The Provincial Government has also pledged to finance the construction of venues and local roads, and has guaranteed to mobilise a workforce to support the Organising Committee at no cost. Additionally, Gangwon Provincial Council formed the Special Committee for PyeongChang 2018 to support the bid.
The mayors of PyeongChang and the venue cities Gangneung and Jeongseon have joined the Bid Committee as members in support of the bid, and have agreed to share the construction cost of new venues and lend support to the Organising Committee by mobilising a workforce at no cost.
