13 July 2012

In light of the first anniversary of PyeongChang’s selection as the host city for the 2018 Winter Games, the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) held a second meeting with its advisory committee at Alpensia Convention Center on Friday, July 13. About 30 people were in attendance, including POCOG executive officers and advisory members.

The advisory committee was briefed on the progress made so far since the IOC decision in Durban, as well as POCOG’s future tasks and recent adjustments to competition venues, among other things. After touring the competition facilities at Alpensia, participating members of the advisory committee also gave suggestions as to how to prepare for successful hosting of the games.
